  1. yes

  2. hey man, dwarf gouramis can be great community fish, however, i would not put any kind of betta in with any kind of gourami, they are both from the same family of fish, they are labrynth fish (can breathe air from the surface), and can be quite aggressive towards one another, usually its recomended that gouramis and bettas of any kind are not put in the same tank. you might be able to get away with puttin a dwarf gourami with a female, but not a male. you might be pushin your luck, but you could give it a try....good luck with it

  3. Dwarf Gouramis, especially the Neon Blue are beautiful fish and very good in a community.  They can be fairly timid so keep them with other peaceful fish and give them some to be comfortable with other fish.

Of course always make sure that you don't overload your tank :)

  4. yes... they are unless they are housed with small fish that could fit in their mouths.   female bettas are mean but so slow that they can seldom bother other fish.  watch closely and be aware that damage can be done at night when the fish slow down and seem to nod off... dwarf gouramies are great fish and very beautiful.   feed everyone some frozen brine shrimp and frozen daphnia and watch the colors bloom...     good luck
