Are e bay and amazon the same? which do u like better for shopping? y?

They are somewhat different and alike.  Ebay is foremost an auction site.  You usually have to bid against competitors for items.  They do have options to buy items immediately (as set by the seller) but usually the items will be more expensive than on auction.

Pros: You might find something you can't find anywhere else, it's possible to find things cheaper, There's often multiple sellers for items so you can compare prices, it's kind of fun to bid.

Cons: You can get swept up and spend too much bidding! You can lose the bid, Sometimes sellers rip you off on shipping, and there's no way to completely know the quality of the item if it's secondhand, Sketchy return policies from time to time.

Amazon was originally a book-seller but has since expanded to contain almost anything.  It also has an auction site (which I haven't used) and Z-Sellers, which are like Ebay in that people put used and new items online for you to buy at their preset price (no bidding) and Amazon sets the shipping for them, so the shipping stays low.

Pros: Shopping from Amazon (not Z-Sellers or bidding) has a great return policy, affordable shipping (free with $25+!), nice customer service, comparable rates, song previews, great selection.  Z-Sellers offer the same books but are often cheaper, and you can sometimes find out of print or rare items that way.

Cons: Sometimes from Z-Sellers your item is not exactly as described, I have gotten bootleg dvds through fraud (Amazon was awesome and refunded my purchase and got rid of the seller though!)

if i used either, it would be amazon.  that way, i could just use a credit card, and not have to create a paypal account.
