Are earthquakes stronger in the Valley?

Just wondering, if it would be felt harder near the mountains and valley?

The strength depends on how close you are to the epicenter.

i think it just depends how close you are to the fault line. the closer you are to it the more you are going to feel it.

so if the epicenter was in the valley and mountains surrounding it, then proably more damage would be done in the valley, i think. rocks will fall and all that. but the higher you are, the more of the earthquakes strenght i think you can escape
