In high school, what do kids respect other kids for? What clothes they wear? What shape their body is in? Popularity?

At my High School you are mostly respected for being able to Not start issues with others, minding your own business, trying to help others, and being a well rounded person .

Then If you excel at something (Sports, Academics, Muisc, Art, Dance etc) people also respect you for that.

My Highschool has a lot of diverse people so Popularity is not really that big of a deal.

I'll be a junior in high school next year. I respect people for their personalities. I find myself having the most respect for open minded people. I don't judge people based on any of those things, clothes, shape, popularity. Whether I'm friends with a person or not depends on their personality almost completely. If someone doesn't want to be your friend because of either of those things you mentioned, they aren't worth your time.
