  1. just do your own homework

  2. In my opinion those go hand in hand.  To be an effective manager you must be a effective leader because as a manager you are leading your group to success.

Different companies do classify managers differently.  I have worked for a company where manager just means "the person who creates a schedule."  But in  business a manager is responcible for his or her own sucess in a company.  If one cannot inspire others to work (with yelling or threating their job) I doubt he/she would make an effective manager.

  3. Yes, in some form or another.  Does not mean that they have the skills to lead the company, but a manager must be able to lead his team to be effective, so that is a minimum requirement.  tba

  4. I come from The Marine Corps School of Leadership.and fore years at Fla State. But as I was taught you can't be an affective manager unless you are an affective leader. If you can't s***w in a light bulb how are you going to show some one how.In life people go with the know.  If you need some one to place dynamite in a building to implode on it self so it doesn't damage surrounding buildings you're not going to hire a race car driver.
