yes they are..

make sure to print your confirmation and take it with you to the airport. once you are at airport, most airline have self-check in machine, it looks like ATM. it ask you for your locator code( 6 digits airline-code) and you name. or you may use the Electronic ticket # and your last name. then it ask you to swipe your passport and it printout your boarding cards. at that time the airline agent ask t o see your passport and gives you and tag your bags so you can take them to TSA for check-in.
