  1. If it's a required part of your job, they will give you training and a test.  If you pass the test you will get the license.


  2. no they dont have to..... but some do and with some you have to have one before they let you drive some learn the way i did just get on and go...... ive drove for a few places over 20 yrs off and on with out any license... i do think they are require to show you a safety film

I think you are required to have one if you're driving a forklift.  Sometimes you have to have if before you can be hired for a job, other times they will let you learn and become certified while you work there.  But to answer your question exactly, they don't have to give you one.  They are supposed to make sure you have it, but it isn't necessarily their responsibility to certify you themselves.  They have the option of  requiring you to get it elsewhere on your own time.

  5. Check the OSHA guidelines - but I think that they are - well every place I have ever worked with them do.
