Are encyclopedias from 10 years ago worth keeping?

  1. I think so, while some of the information may be out-dated, much of it will always be true, such as historical characters or biology.

    Whether the information is valid or not pales when considering how useful they are to you. If they're taking up room on your shelf and your kids are in college, maybe it's time for them to go.

    If you're a perpetually curious person who likes looking things up, well, they might come in handy but then there's always the internet.

    If they're useful to you, they're worth keeping! If not, freecycle them!


  2. I would have to say no but my husband would say yes. I fell that you can find what you want on the internet and I believe that encyclopedias get up dated more often then every ten years so you might be missing something, on the other hand there are most likely some really good stuff in the old ones that might not be in the new ones.

  3. you may need to burn them for fuel one day.

  4. yes. History generally doesn't change just worry about science.
