Are energy drinks and sodas really considered drugs ?

i was just wondering because energy drinks give energy and i used to drink mdx energy drinks like 2 or 3 a day and i had so much energy that i was in fast motion people wanted me to sit down it was like i was on speed but i wasnt on speed

and sodas make people get wired and out of control like candy and sweets

yes because if you drink coke or enegery drinks it will make you sick and puts you in hositpal so dont drink thoses drinks everyday i hope this helps u ?

some people say the caffine is a drug.. just because people do get addicted to it.. but truthfully it depends on who you talk to some ppl say no its not others will say yes

Well since caffeine is considered a drug (as it is addictive) yes i guess that you consider it a drug

Caffeine is a drug because it alters how the body functions e.g. increases heart rate.  It's a legal drug of course.

Caffeine is a drug (Relax, not an illegal one!). But that's what makes you all hyped up and like you're on speed. If you drink energy drinks 2 or 3 times A DAY, it can cause problems for your heart. Lots of cafffeine over time is linked to HEART ATTACKS! If you still like the energy boost, go for SoBe, because it's mainly B vitamins, which give you evergy in a healthy way.

in that case Y!A could be considered a drug cuz it could get a little addicting. What about life? Sometimes you get  kick out of life and it gets me all hyped up. Does that mean life is a drug?! Uh oh. I'd better get myself checked out.

A drug, broadly speaking, is any chemical substance that, when absorbed into the body of a living organism, alters normal bodily function.

By that definition caffeine is a drug, sodas and energy drinks have caffeine, so yes, they are drugs.

However that doesn't necessarily mean they're bad (in my opinion they are...but never mind that)...I mean Tylenol is considered a drug.
