Are energy drinks bad for your voice?

They would be bad for your voice if you drink it cold, but more importantly they ARE bad for your heart as the caffeine in them is so high they make your heart race, it's a know fact they give you extremely fast  palpitations.

David St. Hubbins of Spinal Tap would say that the sugar in them makes your vocal cords fat. Ha.

If you are a vocalist (singer) then yes, any carbonated drink is bad for your voice.  The drinks mix with your saliva and it gets all thick, constricting your range and making it necessary to clear your throat.  Not so attractive in a performance.
