  1. no. they are part & parcel to the british isles. wales would like to be apart from england & so would scotland but that's not gonna happen anytime soon. they share the english language but wales has a language, like scotland, all of their own.  it is kept that way to make them distinct.  good for them!

  2. Don't think so.

Just different tribes of different community.

But they are part of the United Kingdom.

    Break them up.

The United kingdom will be lost with time forever.

Do we want that to happen?

When we only have one United Kingdom in the whole wide world on planet earth.

The United kingdom is rich with the glory of the past.

Are we just going to  throw it all away

Just for the sake of "The young one" with self lack of knowledge.

After all the blood ,sweat  and tears of the Elders of the past?

United we stand divided we fall.

  3. Yes

  4. The island of Britain has a number of nations - England, Scotland and Wales being the largest. Nothern Ireland been the smallest.

  5. I believe that "British Isles" is a geographic term.  The United Kingdom is made up of smaller countries and within those countries are provinces (states).  The countries are England, Wales, Northern Ireland, Ireland, Scotland, some Caribbean islands, etc.  The United Kingdom used to also include Australia, India, Canada, etc.  I may have some errors here but I believe that this is the basic situation with the U.K.  Australia, India, & Canada still show respect and reverence for the royal family.  For many years, the U. K. was involved in colonizing other lands which is why it included Australia, India, & Canada, as well as what became the United States.  I hope this helps.

  6. The United Kingdom is made up of four regions each with its own national identity: England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland.  Each was its own country, but were united by force of arms hundreds of years ago.

Ireland used to be part of the UK until their rebellion in 1917 freed the "southern" part of the island.  The UK held on to Northern Ireland because the Protestants made up a significant percentage of their population, and they feared oppression under the Irish Catholics.  That's what all the fighting is/was about.

The rest of the former British Empire have either gone their own way as a nation (like Canada and Australia) or remained a British territory or protectorate (like the Falkland Islands and some other Caribbean islands).

    Hope this helps!

  7. I think the problem is that Northern Ireland doesn't want to be one of England's nations.  They want to be their own.  I always wondered why England just doesn't leave that country alone.  I never have understood what that was all about.
