Are exercise balls safe for hamsters?

Is the plastic safe for ethe hamster?

Yes, excersise balls are GREAT for hamsters. If you have looked at one before, there are gaps in it for air holes. Make sure that when using one, you supervise him at all times. Cats, dogs, small children, stairs.... are all hazards for your hamster when running in a hamster ball. The plastic used is safe for hamsters, but if you notice them just sitting there chewing on it, not even running take him out. That probably won't happen though. You should really get one =]

It is safe, assuming you make the area he is to run around in safe(like keeping the ball away from doors, other animals, steps, etc.

Of course they are safe. Exercise balls have air holes, and plastic is safe for hamsters. They love them by the way. I highly recommend them.
