Are fans allowed in carry-on luggage?

I can't sleep without a fan, and I'm trying to pack light. Can you take a small fan in carry-on luggage?

do you mean one fo those japanese style fans?? then yes.

but if you mean a battery, portable one....you probably could but if I was the person sitting next to you, i would go nuts!

all aircraft has air conditioning; its cool enough!
