  1. sure! give'em abath when they get home.

  2. No, definately not...! This is TRUE: Not too long ago, I heard about kids getting sick and some even dying because they had been playing like at McDonalds or Burger King in the ball pit (whatever it's called) and later when people emptied the balls out, they found horrible things like some kind of really bad needles for drugs, and they found dirty diapers, vomit, food, and worse of all... A WHOLE NEST OF VIPERS (SNAKES!)!!! I would never let my kids play in one of these playgrounds!

  3. i have NEVER seen anyone clean up the fast food playgrounds and especially the tables that people eat on.

(then again, like the other guy said, I haven't seen anyone clean the park play area either).

  4. One of my friends younger brothers was playing in one and stepped in p**p        so i would have to say no

  5. I find this question and some of the responses very interesting because this was a concern in my town a few years ago.  My good friend's daughter contracted a deadly illness called rotavirus from the ball pit at a McDonald's.  She was hospitalized with a dangerously high fever and was uncontrollably throwing up for days.  After doing much research, my girlfriend found out that the playgrounds in fast food restaurants are rarely sanitized and cleaned properly.  She set out on a mission to help change this to further protect children from going through what her daughter had to experience.  She started her own company, Good Clean Fun, that professionally cleans and maintains playgrounds.  However, she told me that at most these fast food places are cleaned only once a month. Her company then expanded and created their own line of products that include a playground cleaning kit that will hopefully help fast food restaurants maintain the cleanliness of these playgrounds in between their professional cleanings.  I am definitely a supporter of the cause to help protect our children.  If you think about it, our kids love the playgrounds at these places and are crawling around on all fours going through those things, then putting their hands in their mouths, eating, etc. I would hope that these fast food restaurants would be held more accountable for keeping these things more sanitary.  Please feel free to visit my friend Marilyn’s website, www.goodcleanfunproducts.com, I want to try to help support her in anyway I can even if its just by getting the word out about it.

  6. Safe, yes..as long as they don't fall off anything. As far as clean, I have heard that they aren't. They have all kinds of bacteria from not being cleaned or being cleaned not often enough. The worse are things like the ball pit. U can wipe down certain things with a disinfecting towelette so that your child can enjoy playing on the playgrounds.

  7. Probably as clean as the school playground.

  8. all paygrounds are different. it depends on the place itself.

  9. probably not.

i'm pretty sure they don't clean them.

  10. I can only speak for McDonald's (I work with--not for--them) and I know that once a week a cleaning company comes in and does a thorough cleaning including changing out the balls in the ball pit.  There is other routine cleaning throughout the restaurant, McDonalds has high standards for sanitation.  However, anytime you have your child in a public play area it's a good idea to have them wash their hands afterwards.

  11. Nooo

  12. Not really. I've never seen anybody cleaning fast food playgrounds before. It's probably just as clean as a school playground.

  13. No!

  14. No, there DISSCUSTING.EEEEEEEWWWWWWW! Im a kid and hate playpins at fast food restraunts. One time I found buger etc. I HATE THEM. They smell bad too.

  15. No. I read numerous horror stories about them Vomit, p**p, pee, needles, trash, moldy food etc. Eeew! Just google it and you'll see all the gross stories.

  16. sometimes their not the safest but they are usually clean

    =]

  17. safe yes. clean NO!

  18. Your kids will pick up germs no matter where you go or what you do to try and prevent it, but you can reduce the number of germs YOUR kids transmit by taking some precautions. Take wet wipes everywhere with you. Use alcohol hand sanitizer on their hands both before and after playing on public structures. Wipe down grocery store carts with a wet wipe before they sit in them and sanitize hands after. You can also use a cart cover, and wash it regularly. Teach them never ever put there hands in their mouths without washing up first, esp. after being on the structures or carts. Probably TMI, but it's just good practice. Your kids will get sick, and nowhere is perfectly safe, but getting those illnesses are what helps make them healthier later on. There's no way to protect them absolutely, and honestly you really don't want to, or you will be spending more time at home with sick kids than you know what to do with.
