Are female gymnasts a little bit strange?

Forget about their ability for a moment. These girls should be out living, not messing about on a 4 inch beam. Does that sound rude? ROFL!

dude, it's just the same as any other pro sport and such... you have to practice to get good at what you are competing in, so you have to constantly be training.... look at MLB players or NHL players for instance, they're away from home and their families for practically the whole year and then they have to go back to training camp before the season even starts so that's extra time they're gone from home... at least these girls have the support of the family with them at Beijing and they can train in gyms in their home town.... enough said
