This is a compilation of all the descriptions (their descriptions differed wherever I use the word "might" below) I've received from 2 wives and many girlfriends over the past 35 years:

It can take anywhere from a few seconds to a couple of hours to reach o****m... both of these are unusual but normal, and anything in between is just fine.

Just before o****m, you might have a feeling a bit like you have to pee, but it's not quite the same, and when your o****m first happens, there'll be a very strong (sometimes intense and *powerful*), warm and sometimes tingly feeling that spreads from your clitoris to your v****a and then through your whole lower body. Then very quickly your clitoris, your v****a, your crotch muscles and your butt-hole will squeeze and pulse a few times while that feeling spreads all over you.

During all this, your toes will probably curl, your nipples will probably harden and stand up, you might feel like you need to hold your breath or like you have to breathe really fast, your body will want to tense up and might jerk or shake or shiver, and you might make some noises (grunts, gasps, groans or cries) that you can't really control. You might "squirt" or "ejaculate" a lot of fluid from your urethra (don't worry, it's not pee). The whole time, it's just about the best feeling there is.

(Everything you "might" feel or do above isn't always going to happen... some orgasms are much less overwhelming than just *very* pleasureable.)

As that feeling becomes more gentle and starts to go away (after maybe 5 to 20 seconds), your whole body will begin to relax, your skin will flush pinker (especially over your chest) and you might feel sort of like having a nap... or like just lying there and letting your mind drift... or even like doing it again (and again... etc) right away.

"CocoaDustedLove" isn't really correct about the "average" female o****m.  Although 25 seconds is possible for a single o****m, the average range for women is about 7 to 10 seconds (the average for men is 3 to 8 seconds).

SECOND EDIT:

Although I've never known a woman who's had it happen for her, some women can experience "sustained o****m" (google "status orgasmus" for info and documentation) which is a single non-stop o****m that lasts for up to a whole minute, and these women are occasionally able to do this several times in a row.

i tihnk a female orgasim is better, yet harder to achieve. Usually guys o****m right at the point a women is just starting to almost get there so while it still is a great experience for the female she doesn't necasarily o****m. not true in all cases. a female o****m is more compicated, you do feel it throughout your whole body it's just a tingling feeling

i believe that femal orgasms are waaaay better then males

but females are a lot harder to achieve

and because of male hormones and stuff i think a guy wants it more than a girl

but a girls last a lot longer and they can still feel it a minute later

well I'm not a guy so I have no clue what your orgasms feel like...but with women the o****m isn't the end of having s*x it just heightens everything after it and can lead to more orgasms. It kinda starts in this tiny small spot and you can feel the pressure building and when you do o****m it feels like an explosion which you can usually feel from head to toe. I know mine are longer than my husbands and he's always mad cause I can have more than one to his one. I know that I don't always o****m during s*x and it is harder for a woman to o****m. Now that I'm coming up to my sexual peak I can usually have 2 to 4 o****m each time during s*x.

I feel my orgasms through my whole body, starting at my feet (don't ask me why).  And they're so good that I have to have at least three of them (sometimes four).
