  1. Some possibly are.  But think about the mindset one has to have to be brainwashed.

  2. Why would anyone care about what others choose to do? It's a, relatively, free country. Good luck to the feminists. If they want to shell out to absorb junk it's up to them.

  3. Absolutely.  And what's even worse is that the academicians that do the brainwashing are the most extreme of the so-called Radical Feminists, which recruit and the pervasive teaching is that of utter misandry.  Therein lies the greatest danger of Feminism to young formative minds.

  4. Well i wouldn't say that the course is out to brainwash women but it can be taken very seriously by young impressionable women that feel they have no power,it amusing to see some of them that didn't give a carp about the movement till they went to college and suddenly became so involved and passionate about something they are only really learning about changing they're morals and mind-set,pretty sheepish me thinks

  5. Some are. But the reality is the majority of younger Women are rejecting the Gender Feminists. There is a split going on between Boomer Feminists and their Younger Feminist Daughters. Who want to enjoy s*x with Men. The so called Sexual Empowerment movement sometimes referred to as Raunch of s**t Feminists.

The older Women complain, as one did on Huffington Post recently that younger Women are volunteering for the Girls Gone Wild generation. They are not bashful about liking Men and having s*x with them without strings.

Younger people lack life experience and tend to make decisions on emotions. Its not a fault its just how it is. Older folks tend to be less easily swayed. What is happening is that the Chicken have come home to Roost for the Feminists.

Census data reveals that Men are rejecting Marriage as it is currently offered and its liabilities. There's nothing in it for us anymore. We have obligations and responsibilities and zero rights. We have the Right to Remain silent. Thats it.

There is an interesting post on Rachel's Blog about Man hating items for Sale on Women's sites. It echoes what I have been posting here. Read it for yourself and decide. Examples"

"Not all Men are annoying. Some are Dead"

I only fake it so he’ll buy me stuff.

I love sensitive men. they’re easier to take advantage of.

  6. No, I don't think so. Surely people can make up their own minds about what they believe?

(And also I wouldn't say they're pointless courses either, they have interesting information on societys attitude to women, varying cultures attitudes and comparisons throughout history, even men are in! :p (I've never studied these courses by the way, I just know people who have, I just find other areas of sociology more interesting personally))

  7. For anyone that is easily influenced, male or female, it's possible to be 'brainwashed' or easily coerced into wrong thinking. But that propensity to influence has to be there to start with. That's how the new Green religion is recruiting converts in schools across America. Their tactics go hand-in-hand with communism / feminism. ♥ ∞

  8. No, I don't see how it should, unless a few easily lead ones are. And even it that I think that they would have to have a shockingly bad lecturers with women who call themselves feminist.

  9. Truth...this is NOT Gender Studies, this is Yahoo Answers hate forum.  Gender Studies is a legitimate academic subject and it is nothing like what goes on here.

Have you taken a Gender Studies class?

  10. How self obsessed are men when they predicate a question about women's studies on the idea that a focus for such a course would be about them?

Any module about feminism is about a metanarrative regarding conflict theory...ideological arguments and theoretical perspectives to explain differences and inequalities between genders.  Modules regarding women focus on literary/historical and cultural deconstruction; exploring the areas women have been silenced in or rendered invisible because of said inequalities.  No mention of hate...but guess what, resentment does build when dumb questions about 'manhating' get asked!

  11. Yeah your right, it's also magazines like Cosmo which brainwashes them too. It's sad really, women tend to be a lot more impressionable than men are and therefore it's easy to brainwash them like that. Women should stand up for who they are and not have to follow this ridiculous path that Cosmo and the media leads them too.

  12. Women's Studies is not about gender, it's about teaching feminism.

Why are there pro-ideology programs in liberal arts education?

Can you imagine a Nationalist Studies program?

Of course they're brainwashed, without a doubt.

  13. you can't be brainwashed by a course. you are presented with information that you chose to accept or reject. if you find them pointless, it may be that you're too closed-minded to understand the point. we don't need courses to become man-haters. it's sexist men like you that accomplish that.

  14. 'Women's Studies' courses were about finding ways of blaming men (past and present) for everything. Fortunately, these courses have now been abolished in Britain.

It's an ideology masquerading as a legitimate academic study. It claims to be about social history but "man-hate" is at its very core. Women's Studies people seem to "groom" and misdirect young girls in a similar way to what paedophiles do.

In this new and expanded edition of their 1994 book, the authors update their analysis of what's gone wrong with Women's Studies programmes. Three new chapters provide a devastating and detailed examination of the routine practices found in feminist teaching and research.

  15. No, having gone through much the same transition when I went to college (I am 57 now),it is actually the first time in our lives that we are told that we are just as good as males are. Even though I grew up in a positive family with a mother and father who were college graduates and both had careers, society told me something different. It told me that males were (at least THEY thought they were) superior. I was taught this at school, at church, everywhere. When I got to college (go UGA), I found out that I was just as smart as my male counterparts and hogwash to what society said. I consider myself a feminist but I am not one that hates males at all cost. Some males are intelligent enough to know that they need us as much as we need them. It's the rest of the males that I don't care for!

  16. This question is insulting to all those women who reach university or college.

You are suggesting they are not intelligent enough to take the information they are given and to make up their own minds as to its validity and truth.  To suggest they could be brainwashed shows you have no respect for their intellect even though many would have had to achieved the same academic qualification you did in order to study your chosen subjects.

Why do you feel so threatened that you need to be insulting to women who choose to study their own gender's roles in society, past and present is it because you do not like any women to know the facts to question your values and ideas of women in society.

Why do you put together man hater and feminist, What is wrong with  being a feminist, feminists only want equality, a level playing field.  None of the feminists I know are man haters.  We may not have any time or respect for those men who believe we are inferior but we all have husbands, partners and/or male friends who we love and respect.

  17. Well, personally, I did take a women's studies course in college and I'm definitley not a feminist/man-hater. But then again my professor wasn't the greatest. It was a course about women in history and we talked about the same five women the whole semester. It was easily the most boring class i have ever taken (and I hate math, that's my absolute worst subject in the world) And when we weren't talking about those five women she was spouting the most ridiculous man-hating extreme feminists views in the world! I've been hurt by guys before but to blame the whole gender for our troubles? That's ridiculous. *shrug* maybe it takes more than a college course and a few lectures (we were required to go to those in order to pass the course) to brainwash me.

  18. the hope of the people behind some of the  courses is indeed to turn a normal girl into a feminist or man hater

so some are brainwashed by gender and women's studies courses & lecturers, its about planting seeds, it don't always work, thank God!

  19. If techniques that could be viewed as/for that are used then yes.

By the very nature of brainwashing, the victim is not aware of it being done, and may even come to defend the new ideology and/or those that teach it.

Some people are more vulnerable than others to such things.
