I don't understand what is hard to get about the concept of feminism. It's simply that women should have equal rights. It does not mean you support abortion it doesn't mean you don't support abortion, it doesn't mean you don't like to look nice or that you are into fixing cars. I'm a stay at home mom who believes I'm where I should be right now and I'm just as much a feminist as anyone else on here and I don't understand how that could be a detriment to women or children.

Yes, as well as families as a whole. Feminism has told Moms that they are to abandon their babies, institutionalize them, for a paycheck. How does that NOT harm women and children?

Funny story. we were driving past a daycare center and my daughter was 3. She accidentally called it an orphanage. (She had recently watched "Annie" and the daycare reminded her of an orphanage...)

AFRICA.  I wish people would think about that for a second.  Or Dafur where children as young as 4 are raped on a daily basis.  This is why there is a rampant spread of HIV and AIDS.  

In Africa farming is considered inferior to 'wage labor'.  Why?  Because it is 'women's work'.  So there are no financial incentives to farm.  So people starve...  Feminism's objectives are in increase the importance of so called 'women's work'.  Men place little importance in anything women do.  Raising children, holding jobs, contributing to household labor or any other significant ways women contribute to society have been regarded by men as lowly.  When farming is feminized, the same sentiment arises.

We have a moral obligation to give women in these countries more options and basic human rights.  This would improve the pitiful state these countries are in.  Pay African women farmers a decent salary!  Give women the right to grow up unmolested!  Give the poor female children in Dafur a chance at life.  My god, how could you people be so heartless?

I've said this before, "women's" problems are OUR collective human problems.  In backward countries, human rights and yes, women are human, are ignored.  For the collective good of the country, women must have equal rights.

This is a stupid question and only deserves stupid answers.  As for what you said to CC brave men or real men for that fact do not have an issue with feminism as they are secure in their manhood so they feel no need to strike out at any women.  I think bubba is right you really should see someone for your gynophobia.  Do you even realize what you are seen as on here?  We all feel sorry for you.  You constantly attempt to put down feminist and they are at times female but also male.  Your hatred for feminist should really be examined by a professional. No one called you a women beater or a child molester but nice attempt to try and earn you some sympathy but it didn't work.  Do you really run from feminist because I would think you wouldn't have to because most women run from you?

No.  Feminists protect women and children and have been instrumental in enacting legislation to protect women and children from domestic abuse and other issues that threaten the lives and safety of women and children.  Feminists also work tirelessly to create a better world for women and children in the face of many blatantly false accusations and innuendo, such as your question examples.

Not all feminists. Most are not harmful. It is the ones who run around putting SAHM's down for sacrificing her carer for her family. Or speak negatively about children because they are afraid that a child might rob them of their precious freedom. There are very sensitive women and children out there that take these rantings to heart and may make a choice they wouldn't have normally made because of something a feminist like this might have said. These days SAHM's are looked down on still by the mass population. Not only because people think you are lazy and to simple to get a "real" job but because people look down at your one income family as being at a disadvantage financially. They think the only thing you think or know about is babies and cleaning and this simply is not the case. But like I said most feminist are not like that, but alot are.
