How do they react to the fact women are lawfully excluded from sumo wrestling? Do they think this tradition should be modified to suit their needs or are they satisfied with things being this way and feel that women shouldn't engage in sports of this kind?

  1. I don't think too many women have an inclination to be near super fat dudes in diapers so, it is kinda a moot point.

  2. I haven't known about this, but I don't see why there can't be female sumo wrestlers.

There's a type of sparring in shotokan in which you have to choreograph the fight instead of improvising it. In this sparring (I forget the name), women are not allowed to initiate an attack, just defend. When we tried this in my class, we had a lot of all-female pairs, so one of us had to be "the male." I found that pretty ridiculous.

  3. I don't think they are |:

In Sumo is required to have a lot of physical strength and resistance as well as being really fat and big :P

But i agree with Miss Theo, some women may actually be able to play :0

  4. I'm seen plenty of women that I'd put my money on in a female sumo match.

  5. Sumo wrestling is a predominately male sport. There's not a lot of competitive female sumo wrestlers, so nobody cares if they are excluded. You gotta have a lot of players in order to start a league.
