My family takes fish oil capsules and say that I should take them too. Is this something that can really benefit my health, or is it just another phony product out there that doesn't really help anything???

  1. It's the Omega 3 fatty acids which you can get naturally through certain types of fatty fish like Salmon. YOu can also get them through...Olive Oil, Eggs and Avocados just to name a few, It helps with your brain and fights depression among many other benefits. Personal choice...if you eat enough of the natural stuff then why take it in pills...who knows how much of it your body actually takes in from pills.

  2. Yea! Duh! It helps with your cardiovascular health.

  3. yes its omega 3.

no it an actual product thats worth getting. its not phony.

i would though, recommend flaxseed capsules/oil over the fish ones.

    flaxseed better than fish. healthier

    some fish capsules smell too.

  4. Omega 3 fatty acids that are in those oils are good for your heart. It is okay to take them how the directions say.

  5. My parents have also been taking Omega-3 fish oil pills for a while to help improve heart health. A year or so ago though, I was reading a health magazine at the doctor's office and came across an article about how those pills also help improve brain function and decrease your risk for Alzheimer's later in life. I have suffered from depression for a couple years now, but I don't believe in taking mood-altering anti-depressants. I starting taking the fish oil pills once a day to see what happens, and I actually noticed an increase in my concentration and a generally more positive attitude. I don't know if it was actually the pills or a placebo affect, but they helped me out.
