I heard that lipsticks contain fish scales, so just wanted to know how bio friendly and vegetarian are those lipsticks in the market. Also suggestions for vegetarian cosmetics welcomed.

  1. Uh, yeah and boiled animal fats from pound across the nation. Seriously the only makeup that is eco friendly is the new mineral stuff by legitimate distributors. I am sure they add a little oil, fish or otherwise, to lipsticks with a mineral base....those you could use without wearing out your conscience.

  2. Uses fat from fish and whales. Most make-up companies also test on animals.

Urban Decay is mostly vegan, and cruelty free.

  3. No fish are harmed for lip stick.  Whatever fish products that are used for lipstick is a byproduct of food production. The fish are already dead.
