  1. flip flops are only any good for lounging around serious walking sandals or better still boots for support of your ankles and instep.

  2. Well I am not saying that flip flops are a bad chioice, but I personally woild wear Tevas, because they fit snug on your feet, and some models has arch support.  Most of the Tevas I own has arch support, and the ones with arch support, are great for a lot of walking.  The Tevas I usally wear for long walks are my Cross Terras, Spoiler 2s, SOnic Booms, Terra FIis, and Terra FI 2s, and The Terra Fi 2s are my favorites.

  3. I'm sure that isn't the only footwear you are taking.

  4. flip flops are useful for lounging around and short excursions, especially to the beach and places like that ... they're certainly not good for walking and sandals, trainers or shoes (or even lightweight walking boots if you're going to be walking off-road) are much better ... I'd say bring them with you to use as slippers as long as you're bringing something more sensible for long walks
