Are floor steam machines OK to use on pergo type floors?

NO! NO! NO! Water (even steam) and wood do not play well together.....your floor may shrink or swell which causes splits and warps and heaves......

try cleaning your Pergo with a damp (NOT soaking wet) cloth & plain white vinegar!

No Not such a great idea besides the Pergo company says the most you should need is a damp mop to clean.  One cup vinegar is about all you should need to clean aside from their cleaners

Don't use steam or water on Pergo floors.  a damp cloth is OK, but there is a special spray cleaner that is used for Pergo and other laminate floors, available at Home Depot, Lowe's, and other home stores.
