Are food stamps primarily only for poor single mothers?

I am wondering what people can actually get on it, for study purposes.

There are many people on the stamp program.They are not high wage earners so they qualify the social service office has a list of income guidelines for them.I know lots of folks that are not what you call poor there hard working folks just dont make enough to get buy.It is a good program in most all places.

People with low income can qualify for food stamps.  The larger the family the higher income you can have and still get food stamps.  Check with your local welfare office on the requirements for your state.

its for ppl who dont get paid a GOOD paycheck [ it doesnt mean they're poor & its ur choice if u want it cuz ur the 1 whos filling out the paper work, the gov. is the one who puts a certain amt. of money on it depending on how much u get paid, how much ppl live w/ u, etc....] & u can only buy groceries with it
