Are foreign taxes paid by a corporation a deduction or a credit?

  1. Typically, income taxes paid to other jurisdictions is a credit.


  2. Normally that would be a credit!  I guess there would be circumstances where the tax is reported with in some other transaction and it could be treated as a deduction.
