Are free pregnancy tests available from the pharmacy at Sainsbury's?

As we would like to find a test straight away for free, or for a very low charge as we can't afford the usual £9 right now.

(Oh, and it'll be a sunday too, whatever difference that may make).

  1. You will only get them free at a GP's or FPC. Sorry to ask this but if you want a positive result, is it really responsible if you can't afford a test for less than a tenner? Babies cost a small fortune-much more than that. If you want a negative then condoms would be cheaper next time.

  2. most supermarkets do the cheap ones now  around £2 i have never heard of a pharmacy doing free pregnancy tests  its either that or wait and see the doctor and then not all doctors do them there some send them off to be tested mine does back the next day though

  3. Hello you only get free ones from GP and health centres you can buy cheap ones on eBay for a few pounds or supermarkets do their own ones for about £4 ish if not wait till tomorrow and go to your GP and he will do one free. Good luck and congrats if you are.

  4. I doubt you will be able to get a free one from a pharmacy, But look up the sexual health clinics in your area, If not, My friend bought 2 for a £1 from home baragins and they worked (She was pregnant) if not you will have to go to the doctors tomoro

  5. Cheaped test you'll get is on eBay, they do next day delivery service..

  6. Some pharmacies will do a free pregnancy test. Wilkos sell really cheap ones. I think they are £3.99 for 3.

  7. just go to ur GP and do one. i know that Poundland do pregnancy tests but the cheaper you buy the less accurate a result you'll have. GP's the best bet.

  8. Home and bargain do them for 89p. They open sundays.

Just because a test is "cheap" it doent mean that its un accurate.

Supermarket pharmacies dont do pregnancy testing as a service like your GP does.

Asda's test at home kits are much better value for money than tescos. Think it was a twin pack for £3.93 last time i bought them.

  9. Why are people from the USA telling you where to get tests on the UK/Ireland Yahoo Answers??  Like your going to fly to America to buy one!!!

No you wont get a free test at Sainsburys and all tests aren't £9, you can buy cheap ones at £2/£3

  10. Asda do cheap test couple of pounds, never heard of free test (only from GP), boots alsow do one for a couple of pounds

  11. Buy a cheap one from the chemist.

  12. Hi, you won't get a free pregnancy test from the pharmacy.  But most supermarkets will do a really cheap basic test.  Try poundland, or Tesco, Asda etc.  You'll only get free tests from the doctor or family planning clinic.

  13. Surprisingly, I have seen pregnancy testing kits at the pound shop, however I would not recommend these. Free pregnancy tests are offered at family planning clinics, or you may consult your doctor
