  1. I think you don't need ..

    free zone have special rules..

within one week we have a lot of changes..

make sure ..go to dubai labor office website ..and check for new rules

  2. Free Zones are not exempted from visa rules imposed by the Immigration Department. Exemptions are just regarding some labor Laws.

If your husband's company applied for the visit visas before the 29th of July, the "old" rule will still apply until these visas expire.

Under the new rules companies are not suppose to hire people on visit visas. They have to apply for employment or mission visas for the employees. After the employee receives his visit visa, he will be able to sponsor his family if he meets certain requirements.

Please check with the PRO of your husband's company and double check again by using the following contact:

    Take care.

  3. if your husband working here with a work visa you should not come on a visit visa he should send you a resident visa because changing your visa from  visit visa to resident visa will cost you a lot.

  4. not really

  5. No it is not mentioned anywhere in the news articles that freezone companies are exempted from new visa rules.

According to new rules your husband can be issued either of these visa:-

Work Permits for Dubai (For Permanent Job)

To work in Dubai, you need a work permit or labor card along with residency visa. Usually the company you work for will arrange both work permits and residency visas for you and your family, and will explain to you what documents you need.  If you're in Dubai Media City, Dubai Internet City, Dubai Knowledge Village, or one of the other Free Zones, then you should be able to get everything arranged easily and quickly.

Some companies are efficient at arranging work permits and residency visas, others are more tardy and can take months or longer. It can also depend on the relationship the company has with the respective government departments.

    Mission visa (For Temporary Jobs)

Another new visa that is being introduced is the mission visa. It is issued for the purpose of temporary work in the country, has a maximum validity of 180 days and comes for a combined fee of 1,800 dirhams ($90). It is initially issued for three months against a fee of 600 dirhams and can be renewed for three more months against a fee of 1,200 dirhams.
