Are french women different than American women?

Question

If so, how? Do they look different, dress different, act different? I know they speak a different language, but other than that I'm kind of clueless. If you were trying to date an average French girl, would you have to treat her differently than the average American girl? I know an individual woman is different, but in general what are some differences?

Ah! senore, if only you were asking about ze spanish women, so 'ot, sooo passionate, no? But French it is. French women have a reputation for being sensual and this may well be the case but in general they are quite reserved. Methinks your true motivation may be to get one in the sack you sly hound you. Should this be the case , be aware that a Frenchwoman may not be as in your face as the average yankee version but she will be assessing you from the word go. Unlike your homegrown variety she is unlikely to feel patronised if you open a door for her. They respond to a courteous but sophisticated approach. Bone up onSartre, Maupassant & Piaf; they are rather patriotic. Whereas the average American girl has been conditioned by popular media to take a somewhat calisthenic approach to s*x, the French lass is far more leisurely & sensuous; "mais messieur" what can I say? "Ooh!la,la.  c'est magnifique." Remember, like women everywhere, they respond to a generous use of the 'ol purse and they can usually spot a fake from a mile off. Hope this puts you on the right track "messieur 'ound."

yes, very much so. do not expect french women to smile, say hello, or even acknowledge the fact that you are there. unless you know them of course. its not that they're being rude, its just their culture.

they dress a lot differently than women here, especially when they go out. they dress a lot less S****y than american girls, which i must say is a pity. most do not wear any make up, if so very little. they are a lot more natural than american girls. you'd be hard pressed to find many ''fake'' girls in france.

their attitudes are completely different. french girls are pretty cold if you approach them and they don't know who you are. but if you do happen to get into a conversation with a femme francaise, she will most likely be more intellectually challenging than the average american girl who you'll meet out. the best way is to meet them through friends, and after they've had a few drinks they let their guards down.  

they will tell you how much they hate george bush and that america should keep out of everyone's business, etc. but they do like american men, just not our gov't. french women quite frankly, are very sensual and intoxicating. they understand men, and they do know how to tempt you. so beware la femme fatale.

your wallet and your ears will be much happier around french women. first, no gold diggers like in the us and they don't spend their time screaming like 5 year olds. if you have ever watched the bachelor you know what i'm talking about, right?
