Definitively or from personal experience will I get pulled over for not having one on the front, but just on the rear of the vehicle?

  1. Yes they are required. They are also required in MN (I got a ticket from a meter maid for not having one). IL they are not required.

  2. Check with your local DMV.

I know in the state of Kansas you only have to have a tag on the back of your vehicle..

    dunno tho?

  3. Yes if you were issued 2 plates.  If only issued 1 plate then it is to be attached to the rear (1 plate issuance for speciality vehicles only).  Punishable by a citation of $160.80.

341.15 Display of registration plates. (1) Whenever 2 registration plates are issued for a vehicle, one plate shall be attached to the front and one to the rear of the vehicle.
