Are fuel cells expensive?

Compared to gasoline, how expensive are they?

Back when a barrel of oil cost $20, we were told that fuel cells could not be economically competitive unless and until the price of oil rose to about $100 a barrel.

So where the h**l are they? Who's keeping the technology under wraps now? I wonder.

Very much so...regardless of what you are using the term for.

(One term for Fuel Cell is simply an over engineeried gas tank designed for stunt or racing cars to minimise the risk of an explosion in case of a tank rupture (i.e.: it reduces the likelihood of a rupture).)

Then there is "Fuel Cell Technology" which refers to something else all together. And that is uber expensive!
