  1. WC only covers work related injuries/death.  If someone is on their way to work, they aren't on the job so, no, it wouldn't be covered.  WC does have benefits available if someone is killed on the job.

  2. t depends if you were commuting to your normal job.  It wouldn't be covered.  If you were out of town doing a job for your company then it would be covered.  Or if you were traveling to a job from the office, it would also be covered.  Example: an electrician heading from the office to a job site.  If he got in an accident and died, it would be covered.

  3. No.  Workers comp only covers the employee once they are "on the clock."  and working for the employer.  It doesn't kick in if he's 5 feet from the front door and gets hit by an ice cream truck.

If, however, the employee was going between locations for the employer and is in an accident, then there would be coverage. And $1 Million is usually covers the funeral costs.

  4. Don't know what you are talking about.

  5. Do you mean if someone died as a result of a workers com injury?

  6. No, WC does not cover commuting to and from work.  Only injuries occurring while at work.
