  1. If you're not a professional gambler, no.  If you are a professional gambler, I seriously doubt it, but it couldn't hurt to ask your tax advisor.  If you're filing as a professional gambler and you don't have a tax advisor who knows about the relevant areas of the tax law, you should.


  2. I don't believe so, but I hear you can file an ammendment and so if that is true you can use your loss statements from your casinos to offset your big win. If you hit big pay a REAL tax man to fix things up. Our dear uncle in Washington wants his cut-no matter what!
