  1. what are you talking about? I can teleport anywhere in the world whenever i want. so i get to go anywhere free so i dont worry about $4.15/gallon of gas right now. lol

  2. Not particularly, I drive a lot during the year and the difference is not that much.  I am retired, living on a fixed income and have no problems, but then I focused on becoming debt free and living within my income before I retired.

  3. Not yet. The only way they could really pose a hardship is if I have to sit in a 4 hour gas line to get a limited amount of gas (like it was back in the '70s oil "crisis").

  4. We need to first admit that the real problem.  GAS prices ARE NOT high.  Our dollar is low... garbage... A$s paper.  That's the MacroEconomics I was taught in college.  When your currency is worth 60 cents on the dollar that makes everything more expensive including food and gas.

We were supposed to have a recession after the Dot Com bubble and Bush and Greenspan were like, "not on my watch..."  So, the lowered the interest rates (printed more money with no more gold standard to back it thanks to Nixon), inflated the housing bubble... and now they're just trying to "three card molly" US and let the next president take the blame.  Capitalism is about growth and contraction, but nobody wants to rain for a few fays after 14 years of sunshine.  Like Warren Buffett said, our trade deficit and our overconsumption are the main issues.  Nah, I've seen this movie before, and I didn't like how it ended.

Hold on, we're in for a ride! Check the crime in your area, that's usually the first sign.   When you see that increase over 15% vs the prior year you'll know we're close.
