Are gauze pads waterproof? ?

I have this cut and it put some gauze over it and medical tape on the edges to keep it in place but i couldn't put an ace bandage over it because of its location. And not I need to shower and I don't know if it is waterproof :/

Not that I know of.  But you can cover the entire gauze pad with tape, and then put something waterproof over top (a plastic bag or something).

I don't think cotton gauze pad is waterproof. But u can use Tangaderm or other similar transparent dressings to tape over it. Tangaderm is waterproof. But u need to be careful even if it is waterproof.
