Should I not even bother with them and stick to stage 2 fruits and veggies? My daughter is 7 1/2 months. She loves to eat and is very interested in all food. She did however have soem gas problems and wasnt able to eat stage one veggies until she was 6 mo. She just got really gassy before that.

Sorry I keep asking about this stuff but i;m so confused.

  1. Yes they are nutritous

  2. using any processed food is totally unnecessary. i am not criticizing you for doing so, just saying that, no, ultimately something that has been processed is never going to be the most nutritious thing you can give your baby. you can buy a baby food grinder -- very inexpensive - at any health food store and i think also at target. stick whatever you eat in the grinder and, voila: baby food. plus, at her age, you can move beyond purees anyway. since she is so interested in food, you can cut up, mash up, or serve as finger food so many great things. i'd skip the gerber stuff all together! good luck.

  3. i give my son the fruits from gerber and give him natural veggies like potato and peas from home, he liked it like that best and if your daughter is a good eater you shouldn't have a problem with different kinds of foods. good luck
