  1. most of the time gerbal ARE more expensive. most hamsters are around 15 or 20 dollars.

  2. A hamster is about 10-15 dollars

And a dwarf hamster is about 16-20

Sorry, i'm not sure how much a gerbil is

    But i think 10 dollars

    Not sure

And if you get a syrian hamster, cage and food and toys and everything will total to an amount of about 40-55

    Depending on the cage

    Good luck :D

  3. Gerbils have to be keep in pairs of two, in Ireland a gerbil or hamster is €15 in most pet shops,  two gerbil live a lot long for some reason don't make less of a mess than one, they don;t need than much more food,

one gerbil same as one hamster (about)

two gerbil less than two hamster (i have done it)

The big the bag of food and bedding the cheaper it is in the long run

I could a big bag for €8 that was 4 times big that the bag a payed €3.50 for

  4. It depends on what kind of hampster you are looking at. Here at our local Petco Short-haired hampsters go for $.8.99 then you have long haired hampsters that go for 12.99 then you have the dwarf hampsters that go for the same price .There is also fancy hampsters that are a little more pricey  like 19.99. Gerbils tend to be a little cheaper 10.99. Honestly I dont really like gerbils. May be its just the look of them I dont know. They also have pet mice. they are 2.29 a piece. But then you also have to lookin to buying a cage etc. I found that if you just buy a 10 gallon fish tank and put all the essentials in its alot cheaper too.
