It really depends.  I know men can do math, science, and logic much better than I.  But no man or woman I know personally can do what I do with language, thought, etc. except some of my professors and colleagues.

Thank God, Tom is not the poster boy for male intelligence; I'm not even going to tackle the issues he brought up in his faulty argument.

On average, I think females are associated with being the weaker (and consequently, "stupider") gender. However, IQ tests refute this by showing that men and women's IQ on average are very close. Of course there is a great variance regarding the individual man or woman. I think societal standards of intelligence define how smart the average man or woman will be (that, and personal drive to attain knowledge). In all though, men and women have the same capacity to obtain knowledge and are therefor equally endowed with brains and tools to be intelligent.

Alhemdulillah, Allah gave us brains to contemplate and ruminate on the splendor of this world; this is a blessing for both men AND women.

Girls intelligence clusters around the average IQ (100) but boys tend to be more extreme and the IQ bell curve is flatter. There are a lot more stupid boys around than stupid girls, but there are much more smart boys than there are smart girls. That is why there are no female advanced mathematicians, philosophers, theoretical physists and great artists. To answer your question, yes, girls are dumber than boys.
