Are girls friends with other girls just because their pretty?

It sounds stupid but think about it....all the popular people at school are usually ALL pretty...and when a new person comes to school if their pretty the popular people talk to them but if their ugly they don't even bother. and just other groups of people have all pretty people and than theres just the loner ugly people...

not really, i kinda pretty and people tell me i am alot but im not considered popular

I always thought that some popular girls find others the way they look and dress.....lets just say popular groups of girls is filled with people who are/think there rich. Most of them probably never been noticed so they go out and pick girls like them and act the way they act to get noticed.

Your half right at my school yes all of the pretty people are friends but then again I have a lot of friends who are pretty I think that if they are preppy then they are friends and if they hate preps then they are friends.

I wouldn't give it a second thought > looks are only going to get you so far.  If there's no substance underneath, then it's all so superficial isn't it?  

When it comes to friends, I always seek quality over shallowness.  

When you get out of school, you're going to be judged on what you do, not how you look in most jobs.
