Are glass plugs really noticeable?

I have wanted to get my ears done with the intent to stretch for about 4 years now, and I'm almost at the end of school.

I'm going to do them during StuVac, but was wondering, are glass plugs very noticeable? I'll probably get them pierced at a 12 gauge, and then go up to a 10 and so forth.

Oh, and does it hurt alot?

I've been tattooed (3 hours on my chest), and had my lip pierced ( i wear a retainer during the week/school day).

I kinda came addicted to the tattoo pain after a while, but is it more of just an intense :bam" pain getting your ears done?

its going to be noticeable no matter what. I remember when I was stretching my ears in high school I would always get caught wearing them even though I had bought some clear plugs. Ive seen some plugs that are skin tone colored and those are pretty non-noticeable. The piercing will probably hurt since your starting on a bigger gauge, but I doubt it will hurt as much as a three hour tattoo.

okay , take your hand and stretch the skin on your ears , not bad pain right ? it'll hurt of course , but i went from a 16 , to a 12. they don't hurt to bad.

depends how big you plan to stretch them??

My boyfriend has his left ear stretched to 16mm and had a clear acrylic plug, lol obviously it was noticeable because you could see right through his ear.
