my cousin want to buy a golf cart and he wants it street legal. how does he do it

It depends upon the city or township. My town authorizes them only on certain roads and never on any Hwys or County roads. Check the ordinances with whatever town you live in and you should be able to find your answer.

they are street legal, you can legally travel directly accross any road other than a US hiway. That is as street legal as it will ever be. Unless it has the capability to go 35 mph, has all the appropriate safety equipment, and has a vin stamped on it by an authorized agent(custom motorcycle shop) and inspected by the state hiway patrol
