I'm in the UK,and food is dear,i spend £70 a week for my husband and ME,that's a lot for 2 people.

Depends on what you like to eat, whether you cook, whether you eat out alot, etc. My husband and I eat well at home for $150/month, but that's really cheap, at least for our area of New England, USA. It's more expensive if you regularly get take-out or prepared foods, and meat and wine. A plant-based diet seems to be more economical. Our neighbors spend $240/month, and again that's not eating-out much.

not if you're eating vegan/organic.  also, trying to help local farmers and family-owned businesses.

the drugfood is cheap though.
