Are good friendships really forever ?

or do all friendships break down when times become difficult ?

Well it depends how bad the break down. Just a few days ago me and my best friend had an argument, I know for a fact. I never want to take to her again.

Good friendships are the ones that you can just pick up at any time even though you may not have seen them in months/years yet everything is exactly the same as it was when ye saw each other every day!

Not all, some are a lifetime relationship & some are not. I have a friend that even when we don't see each other for over a year it is as if we never skipped a beat. I could call her at any time & have no doubt she would come if I really needed. I hope yours works out.

I've had 2 of the same friends since 1st grade...over 45 years ago. We've been thru some rough patches, but have been able to keep the love.

People can come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime is a quote I read somewhere and I think its true.

So you can have friends that will be transient in your life and help you when and how they can and you can have friends for life.

Friends usually help out when times are difficult in fact that's when you know who your friends really are.

Only fair-weather friends leave you when the heat turns on.  And the saddest part is that most friends are like that...for fun and games!  But that is not to suggest that true friendships do not happen.  If you are lucky to win friendship of those with high characters,  they will last you a lifetime...irrespective of reasons or seasons.

Good friends are those who know what you are going through without you having to spell it all out.  They will help you in ways which will not lower your position...without you having to feel small in front of them.  Believe me,  there still are such selfless people.  Humanity is not extinct yet...

It depends what sort of difficulties arise; but personally, I believe that with time and effort, all *good, true* friendships will last.  Difficult times test friendships, and only the good ones go through.
