  1. Yes government grants are grants that are rewarded for having a low income which can pay part or all of your tuition. Pell is the nationwide grant and there are other state grants and whatnot. The money goes directly to the school and you get whatever is left over if there is any. The money does not have to be paid back but to be considered you MUST file a FAFSA.


  2. For individuals, the only real government grant that I know of is for those who are poor and want to go to college.  It's called a Pell grant and the money goes directly to the school if you qualify.

  3. Yes. If you file your FAFSA and your EFC(expected family contribution) is below a certain amount then you will be eligible for federal grants from the government.
