Are grasshoppers okay in my skink's diet?

My cute cute schneider skink who is really cute, was fed grasshoppers. Are grasshoppers okay for their diet? Is there anything else I should be aware of?

  1. No grasshoppers are great. As long as your little baby likes them that will be fine to feed him grasshoppers. I hope o helped, good luck!

The problem with wild food for pet reptiles is that you never know what pesticides they've come into contact with... unless you live on a huge piece of land that you know 100% for sure hasn't been sprayed with any pesticides, I wouldn't reccomend anything from outside. Of course you could look into what you would need to breed grasshoppers and start from scratch... make your own captive raised organic grasshoppers, but it may be more work than it's worth.

  4. As long as the grasshoppers are from outside they should be fine to give him. I would also feed crickets, wax worms, meal worms, super worms, butter worms, silk worms. The only thing I want to say about the care sheet that I'm attaching is that my vet says cat food is better than dog food. Good luck with the cutie.
