  1. Not really.

The mutation that causes green eyes is a lot wider spread than the mutation for blue, you see it in Pakistanis, the Chinese and even as far South as the Sudan. The eye colour really associted with Nordics is blue. The mutation is only about 6,000 years old, and very much more strongly associated with Nordic countries.

  2. Hmm. My mother is Norwegian and has brown eyes...I think that people of Nordic decent have different color eyes.

  3. Green eyes are considered Nordic but can be found in many other ethnicities.

Very common in Africa and Rare in Eastern Asia.

  4. possibly, not every Viking was a blonde, although as a whole Nordic persons are fairer than many other Europeans. As someone else mentioned they often brought women back from far lands (for instance a lot of Icelandic people are strongly related to the British/Irish on the maternal side due to settlement with slave women.)

  5. Ohhh, I've always found it really interesting (genetics and genetic profiles) also! I know it wasn't unheard of although if it was from racial blending or pure-blooded genetics I don't know. Here's a book you might find helpful.

  6. Green eyes can be Nordic...

The Green-Eye Gene is a variation of Brown eyes, whereas blue & gray-colored eyes are an entirely different gene...

Blue eyes are prevalent in most Nordic populations!
