Are guinea pigs good pets?

I really want a guinea pig or rat and the guinea pig stands out more, my mom cancelled rodents out completely b/c i had two hamsters once and the smell was horrible. Can you guys give me some info on them so I can convince her?

Guinea Pigs can get a little overwhelming but you can get a special type of Febreze Air Freshener. The whole long title is called "Febreze Air Effects Pet Odor Eliminator". I myself have two guinea pigs living in my room and I spray it in my room 3 times a day and it totally works! Guinea Pigs are really fun to play with- especially if you have two. My older one always leads and the other one trails behind her wherever she goes! It's so adorable. GO GUINEA PIGS!!!

Yes, yes they are, people might say they stink, but they don't, the only animals that stink is rabbits, they have ammonia in their pee. SO yes they make good pets.

guinea pigs are great they are loving they eat vegs then kept indoors or outside easy to keep

Guinea pigs are fantastic.  We have a female and she is SO cute.  She is really tame and she will eat out of all of our hands.  She has never tried to bite.  The money spent on taking care of her is really minimal.  She really likes carrots and lettuce and that is inexpensive.  The bedding is pretty reasonable too.  If this is your first one, I would try to get a baby, like we did.  This way you can train them yourself and they will be very comfortable because you are the only one to have cared for it.  Go get one today!!! :P

If you don't clean up after them, they will stink too. Guinea pigs are OK, two to three times larger than a hamster. They do, however, create loud noises at night. It resembles a high pitched squeal.
