  1. Disabled

  2. Hi

The answer is, no. But let us look at the word, and a word, that people have created. The word retarded is and can mean the following:

"relatively slow in mental or emotional or physical development; "providing a secure and sometimes happy life for the retarded"

This means, they maybe slow mentally in "responding in the speed that most of us can." Sometimes, that can also mean, the movement of the Muscle, the movement of senses as leg movement, understanding in a way WE know what this person is saying.

I remember, when someone said, "They're not speaking right, they don't talk to such we can understand,"

But I reply, "no. It's the other way round. We do not yet, how to find a best way of communicating so we understand what this person is saying."

Being blind, for me, are not disabled people but they can be seen as disabled within the law, within an understanding of providing facilities, a way of education, books designed for those without seeing can learn. Like braile or audio.

I know of a man, he is now a millionnaire. He is very famous, he has had movie done about him. He speaks all over the world. He climbed the highest peaks of mountains and Everest.

He is...BLIND. So, he is able to achieve and because his belief was strong enough and wasn't going to get pushed around by people, well, people started to believe in what he can do and supported his journey and helped him also to succeed.

His name is Erik Weihenmayer and he became the first blind climber to climb the seven summits.

The ascent symbolized the achievements made by Weihenmayer, who, with the assistance of a number of climbing guides, has climbed such peaks as Denali, Mount Everest, and Aconcagua.

I left a link for you to read in the source list section below.

There are many stories of blind people achieving. There are many stories as well, of people who cannot walk, and yet, they achieve more than people who can walk, talk, have eyes, can learn, get an education and so on.

You see a lot of them in our world - people who got it all and yet, think they need so much to achieve. Well, this guy is blind, he achieved big time.

There are blind musicians, amazing musicians that stand on stage in front of thousands performing the most complicated Mozart tunes.

So, if you know someone who is blind, who is disabled, look further. Just because someone has just one eye, or even both eyes are not seeing, and their blind - doesn't mean they cannot achieve like anyone else. Doesn't mean they are disabled.

It just means, people who do have sight, need to be mature, responsible, and see people for what they can be, and achieve.

Hope the above helps and inspires us all, what we can do if we believe in ourselves.

  4. That is not very nice, I despise the word r****d. Thye are like any other person although they are blind.

  5. NO but you are fully retarded.

  6. Retarded means mentally inhibited, so Certainly not! They are disabled though. They have a physical disability, not a mental one. Be careful using the word retarded!

  7. ok i know ur question will offend a lot of ppl. juz to be on the positive side, i tink maybe u don understand the meaning of the word retarded.

it is wen sum1 is slow at learning things and even wen they are adults, they acts lyk kids.

Disability is wen sum1 is unable to do the usual thing we do lyk sight.

so for ur answer, it is disable

but to be nice, dont call those who r slow in learning, retarded, it is juz not nice. it will be better if u call them disable as well. it affects their confidence level and keep them away from people.

    be nice =)

  8. what is wrong with you?????????

  9. What makes you believe that you have the right  to speak in such a mean way... is it because you've got two eyes?  And in any case, I wouldn't even call you disabled or retarded, but rather a person with a disability or with a developmental delay.
