  1. Yea you can feel them and i imagine they would hurt if they scratched you with them.

  2. nope

  3. Yes the claws are supposed to be long enough to touch you.

But if the claws get to be really long then put a very fine-grain sandpaper on their exercise wheel.

  4. not really it will just pinch you

they will wear down after a while

  5. Yes, their claws help them climb and pick food etc up.  They should wear down on their own and never need clipped,  do NOT attempt to clip them yourself because each claw has a blood supply in the centre of it which you might cut into.

  6. yes of course thy need to be sharp and if you cut them make sure you DO NOT cut were it is pink!.

  7. They do have tiny sharp nails, so it will hurt a little bit. They use their claws to climb, pick up, and hold seeds. Don't worry.

  8. ya thats all right but youll get used to it. if it hurts too much, wear a sweater when holding your hamster, it gives him something to hold on to and it doesnt hurt you

  9. Of course they're supposed to hurt. Just clip them. If they're white and visible, you can kind of see some sharp kind of meat in their nails. Just be careful not to clip the meat! If the nails are black, tough luck. Go to the vet's and they'll show you how.

  10. Yeah, hampsters claws do hurt a bit. I don't believe that they need trimming or anything - none of the hampsters I have owned in the past have needed this anyway.

  11. ya their nails are tiny and sharp.
