Are harmful Growth Hormones used in Cattle ranching?

Are there any sources that show the growth hormones used in cattle raising are harmful.

Though illegal, is DES still used anymore?

i read once of a product used in milking cattle to increase there milk yield called BHT it is restricted use in Europe but it is registered for use in North America

I raise red and black angus cattle at my ranch in Oklahoma.I send them off to the slaughter house,but I do not use any products to fatten them up or get extra muscles.I dont see the need for growth hormones.
