Are hawaii's public schools good?

Hello,

We are going to be moving to the Big Island in a few months. We are moving from Washington state. Where the public schools are just as good as the private ones. I was told that Hawaii's public school are behind??? Does anybody know anymore about this? Or can anybody give me some good advice. My girls are in elementray school right now. a good public school on the Big Island?

You should ask this in the Primary and Secondary Education section. This is the homeschooling section so you probably won't get much help.

This is the home school section, and to be honest with you, in my opinion a public school is a public school no matter where it is located.

Personally we do not use the services of any conventional schools for our children until they choose to attend a trade school or college.
